First Lady Michelle Obama has appeared on the cover of Vogue magazine for the second time, talking about family values and pushing back at critics who say she and the president need to socialise more. Mrs Obama, 49, was captured in the April 2013 issue of the magazine - which hits newsstands on March 26 - by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz. In the accompanying interview, by Jonathan Van Meter, the First Lady summarises her relationship to fashion. Her style is mentioned only once in the profile, and in just one paragraph - insinuating perhaps that she has more important things on her mind. "I always say that women should wear whatever makes them feel good about themselves. That's what I always try to do," she explained. "I also believe that if you're comfortable in your clothes it's easy to connect with people and make them feel comfortable as well. In every interaction that I have with people, I always want to show them my most authentic self." Besides sharing fabulous fitness photos, Bey shares her diet secrets, how she stays in shape, how she lost 57 lbs after having Blue Ivy, how she enjoys being a mother…. and when she and hubby Jay-Z plan on having more kids!! Nicki Minaj is debuting her new “toned-down” look on the April 2013 cover of ELLE. In the issue, Nicki admitted to ELLE that it wasn’t easy to step away from her over-the-top looks. “When I saw myself with barely any makeup on, it was such a… like, I’m so, so attached to my pink lipstick, it’s hard,” said Minaj. “I feel that it’s become a part of me. To go in front of the camera, without pink lips or big ol’ crazy lashes- you know, nothing – I felt naked. It was scary! So this photo shoot was a real accomplishment in my eyes.” The issue hits newsstands on March 18th. *This month’s Billboard magazine’s Stars Tribute issue is set to honor iconic singing legend, Chaka Khan, for her 60th birthday and the 40 anniversary of her career in entertainment. The issue hits newsstands on March 16 and is the first issue published by Billboard magazine that features Augmented Reality—bringing print to life. “Chaka has always been an innovator as an artist,” says Tammy McCrary of Chaka Khan Management. “In today’s market, it is just as important to be innovative technologically. This is why we chose to partner with Printergize.” The new mobile app will go directly to www.chakakhan.com, where Chaka’s Billboard magazine cover image will come to life through the Augmented Reality app. At that moment, users will see Chaka introduce her 100 Days of Chaka campaign, which marks the 100 days from her birthday (March 23) to the anniversary of the release of her first recorded album with Rufus, “Rufus” (July 1, 1973), 40 years ago. This timeline will highlight daily, a series of historic moments in Chaka’s career, mixed with celebratory current events. The 100 Days of Chaka culminates with the release of “The iKhan Project: Alive!” on July 2nd. Tina Turner becomes the oldest beauty on the cover ever. The queen of rock 'n' roll, Tina Turner, proved she’s still got it, becoming the oldest person to cover Vogue Magazine. The legendary diva appears on her first Vogue cover for the April 2013 issue of German Vogue. Shot by photography duo Claudia Knoepfel & Stefan Indlekofer and styled by Nicola Knels, the gorgeous, Turner stuns in a modern silk blue gown by Armani, red pout and her signature honey blonde-hair. Even though her famous legs don't make an appearance, the cover says it all: "Simply The Best!" Oh, and did we mention she is 73? The “Private Dancer” singer snatched the title for the eldest person to cover the fashion magazine from Meryl Streep who covered American Vogue last year at the age of 62. Turner recently renounced her U.S. citizenship to become Swiss after residing in Kuesnacht, Zurich since the mid-‘90s. The diva recently told the local Swiss newspaper Blick that she’s “very happy in Switzerland and I feel at home here. I cannot imagine a better place to live. Tina is currently in the studio recording a new studio album, “Beyond 2.” We hope to look half this good at 73!
